Bible Verse Dissection! Jeremiah 20:9~Kaelyn

This is your sis here, Kaelyn @ Kaelyn’s Life and Stuffed Stories( Stuffed Stories is my new side-blog 😉 ) and I am excited to be here for my monthly post. 😛

I am happy to bring to you today yet, another Bible Verse Dissection as I ,Dr. Kaelyn, digs into the truth that is God’ Word.

It has been awhile since I have done a Genealogy Gardener post with me as Gardener Kaelyn and so that is why I am asking you this. 🙂

Please fill out this form below with your name, email, website(optional), and in the message I would love to hear your post ideas!! Next month, should I do another dissect, a genealogy gardener, a poem, etc! I would love to hear your thoughts!! 😀

Thank you so much! 😀

ONTO THE POST!! 😛

Photo by Rakicevic Nenad on Pexels.com

For today’s Bible Verse Dissect be sure to pull up your gloves and lay out your tools because this verse is well, different but powerful.

This verse is found in Jeremiah 20 and the context of this verse will be a lot easier to understand if you read that chapter first. 🙂 I will be using the English Standard Version (ESV) and the The New Living Translation ( NLT) today in this post. 🙂

Feel free to read Jeremiah 20 before you finish reading the rest of this post. 🙂

Jeremiah 20:9 English Standard Version (ESV)

If I say, “I will not mention him,
or speak any more in his name,”
there is in my heart as it were a burning fire
    shut up in my bones,
and I am weary with holding it in,
    and I cannot.

This verse was our last memory verse for Torch Team( the youth dicipleship/leadership class at my church) this semester. We will start it again in the fall but I will miss it this summer.

This verse I feel like also describes who we are as a Torch Team and I really liked how that this was our ending verse.

Let’s take a closer look at the context of this chapter. 🙂 *slaps out magnifying glass

Jeremiah is a prophet of God and he has been being persecuted by a man named Pashur. Pashur beat Jeremiah and left him in the stocks even because of what he was proudly prophesying.

Jeremiah is then talking to God and saying how everything he has said has been destruction but he will continue to praise God. In verse 9, we see that he says he can not hold in what God is telling him because it is like fire in his bones.

Like I said, when you read the chapter, it will make more sense. 😉

Let’s look at the NLT translation now. 🙂 Sometimes looking at different translations can help us better understand the meaning of a verse.

Jeremiah 20:9 New Living Translation (NLT)

But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord
    or speak in his name,
his word burns in my heart like a fire.
It’s like a fire in my bones!
I am worn out trying to hold it in!
    I can’t do it!

Jeremiah says that if he does not speak about God’s name or who He is, the words are like a fire and it burns!!

The thing about fires is that they can be out of control and they can spread fast! Jeremiah says he is worn out and he can not stop the fire of God from spreading. He can not stop the fire of his own life because he knows what the truth and goodness of God is.

This verse should also apply to us. We want to be able to say that we can hold it in, and that we can’t help but be on fire for Jesus or share His goodness, mercy, beauty, and glorious salvation.

There is a fire in our bones and our heart, and we can’t hold it in.

Thanks again Ezra for letting me write on your blog!!

I would love to chat down in the comments with you all, if you would like.

Is there anything in this verse that stood out to you? Were you able to take anything away from this verse? Did you get to read Jeremiah 20? What Bible translation do you use? If you have any questions about the verse, the Bible, Jesus, and anything, me and I know Ezra, will be willing to help.

Talk to you all soon!! I will see you all next month in JUNE! 😛

Please don’t forget to fill out the form, or you can just put your answer down in the comments if that is easier and more comfortable for you. 😀

Bye for now!!

Bible Verse Dissection with Dr. Kaelyn~Romans 15:13

hello friend

This is Kaelyn @ Kaelyn’s Life here and I am excited to be here to do a Bible Verse Dissection with me as Dr. Kaelyn! 😛

Hope you all are hanging in there with the whole quarantine thing right now. I hope this Bible verse is encouraging to you today, even among all of the crazy going on in our world today.

This verse is my memory verse for Torch Team( the youth discipleship/leadership class at my church) and I actually still need to memorize this, lol.

The verse is Romans 15:13 and we will be using the ESV version and the TPT as well.

Get your gloves on because it is time to dissect this amazing verse. ( sorry for the weird comparison lol #sorrynotsorry lol) anways,

*cough cough

and moving right to our verse… 😛

See the source image

Alright, can we just all just take a moment to see just how incredible this verse is?!! This verse is super encouraging, especially for this interesting time we are all in right now.

At the beginning of 2020, I imagine most of us were not thinking in just a few months we would be dealing with a world-wide pandemic but Jesus has placed us in this time for a reason. He has placed you in this time for a reason.

May the God of hope“.. God is a God of hope, not of hopelessness.

Two Christian speakers, Steve and Wendy Backlund said this, “There are no hopeless situations but only hopeless people.”

In this time, let’s not be a people without hope but a people brimming with hope but the verse continues to say this “fill you with all joy and peace in believing“.

Our God is a God of hope filling us with joy and peace in our believing. Right now, we can choose joy and we can choose to look at our situations from a higher perspective declaring “There is always a solution!” because there is!! Let’s have joy and peace in this situation because this is who we are as Christians! It’s our joy and delight in our Father and it is his joy and delight to delight in you, never forget that!

JESUS IS SO PROUD OF YOU!!

AND..

We can’t hope and worry at the same time because they are direct opposites. This is something that the Backlunds said in their message that I listened to on”The Power of Hope”.

so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope“. In Holy Spirit and by his power, WE CAN ABOUND IN HOPE! Not just touch it, not just dust hope a little bit then leave, no, we are called TO ABOUND IN HOPE! We are called to live a life of overflow with hope, joy, and peace.

Jesus is calling us to live in this fiery lifestyle and he is here to help us along the way. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be perfect, Jesus, if you are a follower of Jesus, he accepts you and calls you..

chosen.

loved.

redemmed.

worth it.

worthy.

royalty.

joyful.

peace.

hope.

We are all called to live in joy and in hope!! This is who we are called to be! 😀 Joy is who we are and hope is who we are. THIS IS WHO WE ARE!!

Believe that you are worth it, and in this odd time right now, we can look at this verse and see that our Heavenly Daddy abounds in hope and joy and us as His kids, we can too.

I hope this was encouraging to you today and I will see you all soon!! Next month’s guest post from me will either be another Bible Verse Dissect or Genealogy Gardener post.

If you have any questions, or you saw anything in this verse that stood out to you, or you have never asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, I would love to talk with you and I know Ezra would be free to do as well.

Thanks again Ezra for letting me be able to post on here!!

Until we meet again! 😀

peacefully reading

Romans 15:13 The Passion Translation (TPT)

13 Now may God, the inspiration and fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope!

Praying blessings on you!

Take the Leap…

Hey y’all!!

and yes, i am riding a giant lobster.lol his name is henry the lobster and he likes icecream.
wait, where were we?

Oh right!! Yes,it is I, Kaelyn and I am back, and I know it has been a minute since I have been back but today I wanted to do something that I figured out that I really truly love. I have been loving writing poems/spoken word for my blog. Even though I have only done one so far I would love to do some more!

You can see the one I wrote yesterday here! ( my blog is private and you just need to request access and yeah! 🙂 https://kaelynslife.wordpress.com/2020/02/19/sometimes-i-wish-life-would-slow-down/

Now, onto this month’s poem!

Thanks Ezra for letting me write on this blog and sry I have not been able to as recently!

But onwards! 😀

Take the Leap…

i see it

i can feel it

the air is getting thinner

can’t you see it?

can’t you feel it?

the moisture

the dew on your brow

it’s time.

don’t you see.

this is it.

it is time to take the next leap.

the next trust fall.

the next bound of faith.

the next step.

it’s time.

the cliff.

it feels so tall

so high

so daunting

so unsafe

so,

i can’t

not yet

not now.

i am not ready to take this next leap.

i don’t think i can.

but as you start to back away for the cliff’s edge.

that next leap of faith

i hear a whisper

a sound tickling my ear

a kind whisper

a voice

speaking and saying

“it’s okay. don’t be afraid of the free fall.

i know it may seem daunting.

but to fly you have to jump.

you have to leap.

but my child, my dear dear child,

it’s going to be okay

no one is forcing you

i believe in you

i love you

do you trust me?

at those words, i look out and i know i can trust this voice, this whisper, and i know that when i am falling and flailing, for me to fly

i am going to have to jump

i know, i can do it.birds do it all the time

but birds have wings

the whisper comes again and says

” you were born to fly.”

at that point i jump

the thrill

the jump

it is exhilarating

i laugh

i don’t squirm

the feeling of flying

is beautiful

“papa ( i whisper to the voice that spoke to me)

i am ready to fly

in that moment

i see the ground coming closer

but i don’t touch it

i soar

i don’t fall

i can see the whips of wind with me

“my daughter, he calls to me,

the voice of jesus

loud and strong

” don’t you love it? the freedom to fly

you were not made to stay grounded

you were made to soar

i was made to soar

you are made to soar

this is who we are

jesus is calling you me

we are called to fly

we are called to not just keep dragging through life

we were not made to only come this far

we were made to fly

i turn and see a hand with a sparkler

the sparks fly

the hand hands it to me and says

“you are beautiful. share my light love and laughter.

i am looking for friends. for relationship and not religion.

do you accept this call?

i look at my sparkler and nod

it is time to fly again.

are you ready?

do you accept?

That is all for today! This poem really is talking about Jesus and about taking the next leaps of faith, flying with Jesus and feeling his freedom and accepting the mission to drip Jesus everywhere we go.

do you accept?

So, everything in the bold below is a paraphrase!! Enjoy fellow Genealogy Gardeners!!

  1. The first tip they had was to set up a correspondence table. A correspondence table helps you to keep track of dates, information, names, letters, money, and etc.
  2. The second tip was to keep a copy of all letters or mail that you find. Anything with important dates, money, times, people, birthdays, and etc.

Here IS THE EXACT COPY OF AN EXAMPLE OF A CORRESPONDENCE TABLE!! THIS IS NOT MY OWN I MADE!! COPIED DIRECTLY FROM SITE!

Check out the table example here!!

To help you with your correspondence tables, here are some recommended articles! 😀

That is all I have for you today fellow gardeners!! I hope this helps you as you look at your family tree, and to help pluck out the weeds around it, and to make your trees nice and strong!!

Also, last night my grandmother( on my mom’s side) was over last night and she brought a ton of old photos!! It was really cool, there were photos of my grandparents, and great-grandparents, plus their families and it was really cool to see!! I have never seen some of the photos before and it was cool to see photos of my family members and yeah, it was awesome!

So, I encourage you all to talk to your grandparents and see if they have any old photos of their parents, or their parents parents. It is super cool to look back and see who is related to you!!

I hope this post helped to inspire you to take a deeper look at your family heritage!! That is all for this month!!

I hope you all have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS @ EZRA’S EVERYTHING SPOT!!

Genealogy Gardener!!

peacefully reading

Hello there!!

It is Kaelyn @ Kaelyn’s Life here today for a Genealogy Gardener post!! Helping you to GROW your family tree knowledge!!

As you have seen in the past two months, I, Dr. Kaelyn, have been doing some Bible Verse Dissects and I am glad to have been able to be here, as Gardener Kaelyn. 🙂

SO, LET’S GET STARTED! !

First, to site my amazing sources with all of the information that I will be talking about in this post!!

https://www.genealogy.com/articles/research/00000005.html

https://www.genealogy.com/articles/research/

Bitmoji Image

Be sure to check them out because they were so helpful and this WHOLE genealogy post stuff is based on their stuff!! SO YEAH, SEE WHAT THEY HAVE!!

today, we are talking about DETERMINING ACCURACY OF INFORMATION WHICH IS A PARAPHRASE OF THE ARTICLE DETERMINING ACCURACY OF INFORMATION FROM GENEALOGY.COM!!

So, everything in the bold below is a paraphrase!! Enjoy fellow Genealogy Gardeners!!

  1. When you find new info. be sure to check for inconsistencies because we can not believe everything that we read!!
  2. Use other documents to verify the information you have to make sure it is all the way true and genuine.
  3. Be sure to remember when the record was made. If it is older information, then it is probably a bit more reliable then information that was just written about something that happened in your family 95 years ago. 🙂

If you have any more questions about genealogy, be sure to ask Ezra more information because he knows more about then I do but if you do have questions, feel free to put them in the comments below and I can do my best to answer them.

Thanks and be sure to check out genealogy.com!!

That is all for now and I will see you all next month for another Bible Verse Dissect!!!

Bible Verse Dissect!

cotton candy

HELLO FRIEND!!!

This is Kaelyn, from the blog Kaelyn’s Life, here for this month’s August post!!! YEAH!!

I can almost hardly believe that August is already here and school has already started, for some of you. I start my school on Thursday which is like…

Bitmoji Image

But yeah!!! 🙂 🙂

I am so glad to be here today and I just want to thank Ezra for letting me write on here! Thanks!! 🙂

I know last month, we did a Bible Verse Dissect, but I felt like we really should do that again for this month, and in September you will be seeing one of my Genealogy Gardener posts!!

That is something to look forward to! What we have been focusing on in the last BVD, we have been going through Psalms 91 and I still want to focus on that amazing chapter of the Bible.

Today, we will be focusing on Psalms 91: 5-7 in the NLT, or the New Living Translation version. 🙂

Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.

Bitmoji Image
VERSE!!!!

These amazing three verses talk about that we do not have to be afraid of the things that happen at night, or for the evilness that stalks around during the day.

We do not fear sickness that comes at night or during the day and even though many may fall at your side, and die, these evils will not even touch you.

I feel like for us to fully understand what this means, I am going to put down the rest of this Psalms.

Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished.

9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
12 They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
13 You will trample upon lions and cobras;
you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet!

14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
16 I will reward them with a long life
    and give them my salvation.”

WOW! JUST WOW!! Jesus is always protecting us, and no evil thing will be fall on us!!!

We will crush serpents and he rescues those that love Him and he rewards us with long life and gives us salvation.

Wow! Jesus is so incredible! He is our shield, he is my shield, and your shield, and everyone’s shield.

Something that stood out for me is that the word, SHIELD. Let that word resonate in your heart this week as one of the qualities our heavenly Papa.

GOD IS OUR SHIELD!!

That is all for this month’s Bible Verse Dissect and I hoped this Psalm has encouraged you as much as it has encouraged me.

See you next month as I will do a Genealogy Gardener post!! Until then, friends!!!

LOVE GOD!!

LOVE OTHERS!!!

CHANGE THE WORLD!!

Bible Verse Dissect: Psalms 91: 3-4

Bitmoji Image
my bitmoji

This is Kaelyn here, author of the blog Kaelyn’s Life, and I am here for my monthly post!! AND IT IS JULY NOW, FRIENDS!!! AWW!! SUMMER IS LIKE GOING TOO FAST!!!

Although I still have some summer left and I hope you all do to before school hits!! 🙂 This month I am here to do a BIBLE VERSE DISSECT!! You may or may not remember but last Bible Verse Dissect we went into Psalms 91: 1-2, such amazing Bible verses by the way, and I just wanted to continue using that chapter of the Bible for this month’s dissect. 🙂

Last time, I also remembered using the Passion Translation which I am going to use today. I will probably switch up which translation I use in the future to add some variety to our dissects. 🙂

let's go

Psalms 91: 3-4 ( Passion Translation)

He will rescue you from every hidden trap of the enemy,[d]
and he will protect you from false accusation
and any deadly curse.[e]
His massive arms[f] are wrapped around you, protecting you.
You can run under his covering of majesty and hide.

It says God is here to rescue you from every trip of the enemy and he will protect you from lies and curses.

One of the reasons I love the Passion Translation when I reading through, Psalms and Proverbs especially, it really says it very clearly which I like.

God’s massive arms are wrapped around you, He is protecting you, and you can run under his protection of majesty and you can hide and be safe.

How amazing is that picture in your mind? Just being in the embrace of a heavenly Father, God, he really is wrapping you in his loving hug.

So today let this be an encouragement to you , whether you are in a season with trials or if you are in a season of a steadiness, God is holding you, right now and is protecting you, because YOU are his child of God. You are God’s son and prince. You are God’s daughter and princess. He is holding you.

Above is an awesome worship song that I really encourage you to soak in.

And if you are interested in having a psalms and proverbs passion translation, there is a picture of the cover below. 🙂

Thank you so much Ezra for letting me write on your awesome blog!! Thank you amazing readers and followers, your support is much appreciated!!

SEE YOU ALL IN AUGUST AND HAVE A WONDERFUL REST OF YOUR JULY!!

Preparing for Outside Research (paraphrase of article)

Bitmoji Image

That is right!!

It is Kaelyn here from Kaelyn’s Life for my June post. So, last month I did my Bible Verse Dissect and this month it is Genealogy Gardener.

I am here to plant a garden and put in tips and tricks for your genealogy purpose.

Bitmoji Image

I love imagery by the way! 😀

Anyways, as you know I am going on my youth group’s impact trip NEXT WEEK!! TO OKC!!! WOO!! WOO!!

Bitmoji Image

Okay, okay onto the post now. 🙂

So, here are my sources before I continue. 🙂

  1. https://www.genealogy.com/articles/research/
  2. https://www.genealogy.com/articles/research/00000004.html

BELOW IS A PARAPHRASE OF THE ARTICLE PREPARING FOR OUTSIDE RESEARCH. THANK YOU! 🙂

Bitmoji Image
be sure to look up there, because this is a paraphrase from Genealogy. com and not my OWN TIPS AND TRICKS!! 🙂

If you are interested into genealogy and you want to take your research out of the walls of your home and laptop, and let’s say go to your state’s archives or the library, here are some tips for you! 🙂

  1. The first tip from the article is call ahead of time. That way you can find the hours they are open, if fees are necessary, and you may need to know details about parking.
  2. Pack what you need. Don’t forget pencils, pens, folders, or any notes that you may need while you are continuing your research.
  3. Bring some quarters. You may need to use a copier, buy a snack, or use a parking meter.
  4. Set aside a day and get an early start. You want to have all the time you can to get the best information you can.
  5. Take photocopies of the information ex. family trees. You do not want to harm or hurt your original copies of your info.

That is all from the Genealogy Gardener today! 🙂

Remember, this is a paraphrase of the article Preparing for Outside Research from Genealogy.com

🙂

And remember!

The knowledge you have in genealogy gives you genealogy powers and things you never would have known about your family before.

Bible Verse Dissect! Psalms 91: 1-2

Bitmoji Image
my bitmoji

It is Kaelyn here from the blog Kaelyn’s Life here for my May post!!

OH YEAH!!

So, this month I will be doing my Bible Verse Dissect! If this is your first time to read one of these posts, welcome and what I do, is kind of what Ezra does in his Bible verse posts he has every week, except I call mine THE BIBLE VERSE DISSECT!!

Bitmoji Image
my bitmoji

Alright, well let us get to the verse or verses in this case! I am now done with school and it is summer!! SUMMER!!

Bitmoji Image

Okay, I love summer! And during the school year, I memorized, well mostly memorized, Psalms 91. I memorized in KJV but I will be doing it in ESV today.

Psalms 91:1-2 ( ESV)

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say[a] to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

I LOVE THESE VERSES!!

When we dwell in the Lord, we get to be in His shadow, and he is so amazing!! If you were with a famous person and you were like OH MY GOODNESS! THEIR SHADOW JUST GOT ON ME! AWW!!

Or something like that! 😀

Well, we get to be in the shadow of GOD! THAT IS INCREDIBLE BECAUSE HE IS GOD!!

And we say to him he is our refuge and our fortress and we trust Him. I love that we can trust him and that he is like our place where we can be safe in Him. THAT IS SO AWESOME!!

Bitmoji Image

We can trust him and we get to be with Him, and he is our refuge, our protector.

I just thought of this but, how cool is it that on money it says IN GOD WE TRUST!

So, this week I encourage that whenever you see money remember how we can trust in God and that he is our protector and that we can be in his shadow and we get to have him by our side, walking hand in hand, on the journey of life.

That is all for this month’s Bible Verse Dissect!! SEE YOU IN JUNE!! 3
